The country is covered with delicious and typical plates. Meats of great quality, soups and fish that flood the palate.

Colombian food is so diverse and rich that from San Andrés' Caribbean island one can indulge in exquisite Pargo rojo, or delicious shellfish.  Carimañolas majares from the coast, Catalan sausages, butifarra and quibbes.

In Cartagena the aromas of rice with coconut and fish fill the air.

In Antioquia you can’t avoid eating "bandeja paisa" an exuberant combination of meats and fríjol accompanied by avocado and fried egg. In Santander, the oven of our history, serves pépitoria and Hormigas culonas (ants), they are indigenous delights for the visitor.

The famous Ajiaco from Bogotá is at a world level.  In Tolima the lechona and the tamales are the kings of the Andean table.

Don't forget to judge the wheat cuchuco, the wrapped up ear of Boyacá, the sucker llanera, the guinea pig nariñense and the sausage of Sutamarchán.

The much loved friend for Colombian cuisine is a refreshing beer and always the wide array of exotic fruits.  Oh, did we mention the best coffee in the world.
