Airport taxes
People that leave Colombia by air pay an exit tax, the price of this tax changes periodically. It is suggested to ask in the travel agencies, hotels or in the airport. Tose who are on transition or conecction from city to city (72 hours max.), army or sportmen representimg Colombia, do not have to pay the tax.

Those that enter with a visa or permission of tourism and they remain in the country less than 60 days, the Colombian residents in the exterior that remain less than 180 days, children smaller than five years, the officials that travel in official commission and the diplomats, among other, pay the tax.


Aduanas
The traveler coming from the exterior should obtain and sign the declaration of entry, indicating their belongings, goods and the money that they introduce to the country.


Entrance of tax/free goods
LColombian legislation allows travelers to introduce, besides their belongings, articles free of tax, articles of professional use during that time. The rate for the entrance of goods, national currency and foreigners is adjusted periodically.


Entrance of Goods with payment of 15% as Unique Tribute
Travelers that enter into the country are entitled to bring accompanied baggage or not, up to three units of each one of the following goods: domestic god which are or not electric, sport articles and the art or the traveler's occupation.


Forbidden export
The exit of native artistic goods, historical and archaeological patrimony of the nation is completely forbidden.


Permits
Foreigners of countries that don't have restrictions to enter Colombia, if they only come for tourism, they can remain in the country for 90 days, starting from the entrance date that is indicated in the stamp stamped in the passport by the official at the entrance position.

Those that want to come to the country for work reasons or study should request a visa or permission that it is processed by the consulates of Colombia outside the country. The visas can be temporary or residential.

The first visas granted are for people that enter with the means of a temporary stay. The second that are granted are to those who seek to stay permanently. Before traveling it is recommended to consult the consulate general or diplomat in regards to the requirements demanded by Colombian laws in each case.
