1. What they are
The foreigner that wants to enter and remain in Colombia can present the visa application directly, the entity or company where he lends his services and the foreigner's legal representative.
2. Necessary Requirements
To be foreign, or Colombian, you must carry out the legal steps for Visas and Immigration outside the boarder to be legally authorized.
You will only be able to carry out these steps within the country in Bogotá, in the following events:
When the visa holder that he/she wants to continue their permanency in the national territory, required to gather the requirements for requesting the new visa, in advance to the expiration of the same one.
When you request the Temporary Visa for the first time in the categories of: Father or Mother of national Colombian; Spouse or permanent Partner of a national Colombian; Student; Managerial, Refugee, Business, Medical Treatment, Pensioner and Beneficiary.
Note: won't be set a visa in Bogotá, to the foreigner that has impediment on the part of judicial authority, to who has not carried out new application in advance to the expiration of the visa that it is regular, after taking place the termination of their visa, or for cancellation of the same one.

5. Necessary documents for the step
Formulario diligenciado y firmado por el interesado.
Passport in good state, with superior validity to three (3) months and 3 pages minimum, in white.
Photocopies of the used pages of the passport.
Three (3) recent color pictures, clear bottom, size 3x3 front cms, for applications in Consulates or two (2) pictures if the application is presented in Colombia.
If the application is in Colombia it requires active visa or permanency safe-conduct, sent by the Administrative Department of Security DAS.
To demonstrate the activity to develop in the country with documents that should be attached.
Consignment receipt once approved the application.
And the other documents depending on the class of requested visa.
